Prince’s unfinished memoir, The Beautiful Ones, was released in October of this year. He passed before he could finish it. De Angela was very honored to participate in Prince: The Beautiful Ones at Town Hall in NYC on Mon, Nov. 18, 2019, celebrating the release of the book. She gave a short talk about her Prince symposia and participated on a panel, alongside filmmaker Spike Lee, Dan Piepenbring, who was handpicked by Prince to co-author the book, and Chris Jackson, the editor of the book. The panel was moderated by music journalist and author, Greg Tate. The event featured performances by Prince’s band, The NPG.

All ticket purchases included a hardcover copy of Prince The Beautiful Ones on Spiegel & Grau, an imprint of Penguin Random House, and all proceeds benefit the Harlem Children’s Zone, an organization that Prince staunchly supported.
